Finance terms
Principal is the amount borrowed or invested. Interest is the financing or earnings charge applied to that amount. APR is an annualized borrowing cost that may include certain fees, depending on the lender and jurisdiction.
Math terms
A ratio compares quantities. A percentage is a part per hundred. A percentage point is the direct difference between two percentage values. A formula describes the relationship used to calculate the result.
Health terms
BMI is a weight-to-height screening ratio. TDEE is an estimate of total daily energy expenditure. BSA is an estimate of body surface area. These terms do not replace professional interpretation.
